Finding the office.
We are at 512 Telfair Street in downtown Augusta. Get turn-by-turn directions here.
You are welcome to walk in during office hours. If you are not sure where to park, or you have mobility concerns, call before you head over and the front office will tell you the easiest way in.
Your first visit
What to expect when you come in.
If you are coming in about debt, the first step is a free, confidential consultation: you sit down with us, we go through your income, your debts, and what you are trying to protect, and you leave knowing your real options and what it would cost. There is no pressure to file, and no charge for the conversation.
You do not need anything in hand for that first conversation, but if you want specific answers, bring the items on the first appointment checklist: photo ID, tax returns, income records, and your bills. The office can help you gather the rest.
The people
Who you will find at the office.
The Augusta office is the firm's home base. Ann keeps the front office running and has been doing it for more than twenty-five years: phones, paperwork, appointments, and making sure your question reaches the right person. Lisa, the firm manager and Angie's paralegal since 1991, prepares and files the formal case documents that keep bankruptcies moving.
Our attorneys, including Angela McElroy-Magruder and Kelly Kitchens, handle consultations, signings, and case work here. If you want to be certain a particular attorney is in the office when you come by, call first and we will set a time.
Other locations
Closer to Statesboro or Dublin?
The firm keeps staffed offices in Statesboro and Dublin as well, each with its own phone number and walk-in hours. Bankruptcy cases are assigned by county, so if you live nearer one of those offices, start there and we will make sure your case is handled in the right division.
