About Kelly

She learned to fight in a courtroom.

Kelly Brashear Kitchens began her career on the other side of the courtroom. An Augusta native, she earned a degree in political science from the University of Georgia and her law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, where she competed on the Mock Trial Team.

She came home to serve as a prosecutor at the Augusta District Attorney's Office for more than four years, trying over 100 cases, everything from traffic charges to murder. She specialized in crimes against children, served on the Fatality Review Panel for Richmond County, and became a Certified Forensic Child Interviewer through the National College of District Attorneys.

Today she brings that hard-won trial experience to the people of the CSRA, focusing on bankruptcy and family law and helping clients get through the hard parts and come out steady on the other side.
